I have received many messages filled with beautiful, sincere, and at times heartbreaking questions about grief, loss and the difficulties of being human. In a world that’s slowly being ruled by Ai it feels important to remember each other’s humanity, to feel the quiver of a human voice, to feel the embrace of human love. I want to give you the most important gift God has given me: time. I want to take my time with you, for you to feel how important you are to me. I want you to feel that you matter—that your voice, and your story deserves time to be felt, to be embraced, and to be loved.

I invite you to ask whatever questions you carry tucked away in your heart. Each month I will share one or two of your stories or questions and not just to respond to them, but to really hold space for and pray into what your hearts deepest longing is. I am reminded of how many coffee and teahouses I have sat in with friends, teachers, and spiritual masters, and how the advice and holding I received in those quiet corners was more meaningful than what was ever said from podiums or platforms. In a world that prioritizes the many, I want to prioritize you. Your story that is unique to you. I welcome the places where others may learn from your lived experience, but I also want you to know that even if what you are going through many can’t relate to, it’s important and I want you to know it matters.

I want to write to you as if we are sitting in a cozy, little tea house, your hand in mine, as we pray together for an insight that only Allah can graciously send. While I will share your stories or questions for context, I will address you either anonymous or by whatever name you want to be called. If you feel inspired, or you have something weighing on your heart, know I am here for you.

Below you will find how to share your stories or questions to be a part of the Dear Helwa column 💛
